What is RPET?
RPET stands for recycled PET (Polyethylene terephthalate) which is a member of the polyester family. The difference is that a PET bottle is molded and polyester is a fabric. But their chemistry is the same. The advantage of these products is that they are environmentally friendly. products made with 100% recycled plastic bottles. Plastic bottles, that would normally end up in US landfills are exported onto empty cargo containers and shipped to our factory. The bottles are broken down into a spun fiber and then woven into a fabric that can be used for a variety of products such as caps, bags and aprons.
