Step 1: Adjust the Heat Press Temperature: 380° F 400° F
Dwell Time: 15-45 seconds, depending on the method of application
Note: These instructions, including transfer times and temperatures, are based on the inks, paper, ovens and products we use. Your inks, papers, etc. may require adjustments in your time/temp settings.
Step 2: Design and Print Your Transfers · Prepare artwork and size transfer with consideration to the size of the apron. · Mirror Image: Image must always be produced in reverse to ensure right reading image once pressed into a garment. Most printers refer to this as "Flip Horizontal" or "Mirror".
Step 3: Transfer the Image Transferring instructions vary based on the type of printing/pressing you will be doing. Please refer to sections 3.a3.b below for instructions specific to your application. 3
.a: Dye Sub Pressing 1. Preheat press to 400° F.
- Prepress the apron for 10 seconds to rid it of moisture.
- Using heat resistant tape, fasten the transfer image side down.
- Place the apron on the heat press with the transfer on top.
- Press at 400° F for 4045 seconds using Medium Firm pressure.
- Remove transfer while hot.
