Until recently, there was not much of a choice in pretreatments. The process and solution was pretty much the same since white ink became a viable printing option. Well, Image Armor is proud to announce that we now offer an alternative pretreating solution with improved characteristics.

Image Armor DARK Shirt Formula was created with the idea of making pretreating as easy as possible. Image Armor DARK allows for the following characteristics:

Improved Ease of Application

Application window much wider reducing washout issues

Little to no crystallization of pretreatment when cured

Reduced pretreatment "box" after heat setting

Better, more vibrant colors and wash durability

Previously the biggest issue with pretreatment was that you had to "hit", or apply, the correct amount of pretreatment. Too much pretreatment applied outside of this "window" means that washability suffered and would soon allow the image to start "peeling" off the shirt. This resulted in many returned shirts and giving DTG a very bad image with the end consumer.
