Description

Advantages:

Transparent print media for exact positioning

Low processing temperature (150°C-160°C, 300°F-320°F)

Extremely high wash fastness due to a special top-coating

Higher white cover and stronger full-tone colors

High processing tolerance, especially when separating A&B papers

Suitable for OKI White Toner and CMYK Printers

The 2-Paper-System from FOREVER gives amazing brilliant colors and consistent results.

You just print on the transparent A-Foil FINISHING, press it together with the dark opaque B-Paper LowTemp and separate both sheets from each other while hot. Now, you have white coverage on the image through the B-Paper LowTemp, which does not only increase the opacity of the transfer on dark garments, but also contributes to its washability. Both steps are done at the same temperature. The application tolerances are extremely high, reducing handling errors and allowing the user high flexibility.

A – FOIL FINISHING

This is the transfer media on which you print your image. It holds the toner extremely well, but does not leave any residues in the copier or any background on the garment. No more guessing where the transfer is applied! The transparent foil gives precise placement on your garment. Now you can place transfer onto your textile. At the last step you have to place the Hot Stamping Foil or the Flock Sheet on top of it to finish it.

B-PAPER LowTemp

The B-Paper LowTemp was developed specifically for the A-Foil FINISHING. It is finely tuned to ensure optimal processing. The special coating of the B-Paper develops its adhesive power starting at 212°F (100°C), allowing a variety of different materials or surfaces to be transfer printed. This paper brings the additional opacity, which is needed for vibrant colors by transfer printing on dark garments. The white opaque coating on the sheet only sticks to the toner on the A-Foil FINISHING, and performs so well that even the finest detailed designs can be handled.

FINISHING WITH HOT STAMPING FOILS & FLOCK SHEETS

Until now, the finishing of textiles with metallic foils and flock fibers could only be achieved with a standard flex or flock material and was limited in the options. Only large logos and lettering could be plotted and transferred. FOREVER Laser Dark (No-Cut) FINISHING transfer can easily be metallized or flocked, with the advantage that even the finest details can be transferred. In the first step, a single color design is transferred onto the fabric.

The application is identical to the normal LASER DARK (No-Cut) LowTemp application. In an additional step the design can be metallized or flocked with a hot stamping foil or a flock transfer sheet. With a choice of 52 different hot stamping foils and 9 flock colors, detailed or even rasterized designs (see TransferRIP) can be easily decorated. The typical limitations of heat transfers process with flex and flock are now a thing of the past!

52 DIFFERENT HOT STAMPING FOILS

FOREVER’s Laser Dark A & B paper system is a revolutionary new self-weeding process for decorating t-shirts, garments, and more with metallic foil and flocking effects. The two-paper system allows you to transfer only your printed image to the shirt, and in the finishing press step, adhere your choice of metallic stamping foil, for a truly metallic and dazzling effect to the printed design or logo, or a flocking sheet for an extra dimension of softness and texture to the garment, with no need for expensive embroidery equipment! The Laser Dark self-weeding papers for Finishing are the perfect creative addition to any OKI Data Laser White Toner supported print shop!

The self-weeding process of FOREVER’s Laser Dark A-Foil and B-Paper system offers many advantages over similar self-weeding media, and the special effect processes it imitates. The A-Foil paper is semi-transparent for the easiest alignment on the garment, and the A & B two-step-press process offers a high tolerance for consistently excellent results. Plus, the printing process allows for higher detail than possible with normal foil/metallic or flock heat transfer vinyls,  that also must be cut & weeded by hand.

We recommend using the FOREVER Laser Dark (Low Temp) heat transfer paper with the OKI proColor White Toner Printers. Other printer toners may not be compatible with the process for lasting durability or accurate color transferring.

Application Instructions

To Print: Use the multi-purpose bypass tray to feed the A-Foil page, printable side face up (the matte side of the A-Foil is printable, do not print on glossy/slick side). Print your image or design in reverse, using the Transparency setting in the printer driver’s ‘Media Weight’ setting, or the TransferRIP software.

First Press: Preheat the lower platen of your heat press to 300F by closing the press while empty for 20-30 seconds – this is only necessary for first presses, or returning to the press after production breaks.

· Place the A-Foil onto the lower platen (printed side face up). Place the B-Paper (transfer side, with no printed logos, face down) on top of A-Foil sheet. This sheet is slightly smaller than A-Foil sheet to prevent excess glue from transferring to your heat press, as well as making the sheets easier to separate after first press. You may cover with an additional parchment, silicone, or copy paper for additional protection for your heat press platen.
· Press two sheets together for 90-120 seconds. For full-color (most) prints, use the full 120 seconds.
· Once time has elapsed, open heat press carefully and separate the two sheets immediately, slowly & smoothly. This should leave a bright white opaque coating onto the toner layer of your printed A-Foil sheet.

Second Press: Prior to application to t-shirt, we recommend trimming away the edges of the A-Foil sheet to prevent the ‘coating frame’ caused by the first step from transferring.

· Press to the textile with the following instructions:

Cotton: 300F for 30 seconds, medium to firm pressure

Polyester: 265-285F for 30 seconds, medium to firm pressure

Blend Fabrics: 285-300F for 30 seconds, medium to firm pressure

Polypropylene: 220F for 30 seconds, medium to firm pressure

Paper/Cardboard: 210F for 15 seconds, light pressure

Book cover: 230-250F for 15 seconds, light pressure

After pressing, wait until transfer and item have completely cooled before removing the A-Foil backing.

For best wash durability on garments, we highly recommend recovering the transfer with silicone or parchment paper and pressing for 30 seconds (cotton) or 10-15 seconds (other blends).

Note: The above instructions are for application to the substrate. For finishing with foil or flocking, please refer to the instructions noted on those separate products as well.

Care Instructions:

We recommend storing your paper in an enclosed protective (plastic) bag away from excessive humidity, temperatures, and sunlight for best usage life. This paper has a maximum shelf life of 1 year.

Take care with the storage and handling of the A-Foil sheets (especially in a stack) as the top coating can be prone to scratches.

After pressing, allow finished transfer to ‘cure’ for 24 hours before first wash.

For best wash durability, recommend that transfers be washed inside-out in cold water, with mild detergents that do not contain bleach or similar additives. Tumble dry low, inside out.
