This 5-mil printing plate was exclusively designed for the Kimosetter 340 thermal ribbon cartridges. No etching solution or post-fusing are required as the plate is press-ready immediately after printing. Matte, hydrophilic coating has better water-holding capacity and is scratch and fingerprint resistant.

In the length of time it takes to make a laser copy, a SmartPlate™ is ready to run on your offset press.

These compact printers utilize thermal-ribbon transfer printing method that affords major improvements over laser-printable polyester plates. No heat is required to fix the image. Therefore, there is no shrinkage of the polyester plate. Cleaner backgrounds produces sharper text without toner scatter. The Kimosetter 340 can image plates up to 13.375" x 19.875". The Kimosetter 410 can image plates up to 16" x 20".
